HTML = Hyper Text Markup Language

HTML consists of a set of codes which are inserted in a document to control the way the document is displayed by a "web browser" such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

GIF = Graphics (Line art and graphics with text)

JPEG or JPG = Graphics (photographs)

Don't use dark backgrounds with light text (unprintable)

Don't use blinking unless you have to

Don't have dead end pages

Do check spelling and grammar

Do advertise the site

Do design for multiple browser compatibility
